Samsung reportedly started mass production of GDDR5 memory graphics card 8GB DRAM first in the industry using 20nm process technology.
GDDR5 DRAM memory 8GB is a graphics card designed specifically for use on a desktop PC graphics card and super computing, which may in the future can also be used for on-board graphics memory on the device console and PC gaming notebook.
The graphics DRAM can provide the amount of bandwidth to be able to extensively graphics processing large quantities of high quality oriented data streams.
With the growing era of 3D games and video content Ultra HD, Samsung predict future era, where the demand for high-performance graphics memory and high bandwidth will also increase.
“GDDR5 8GB will present the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) with the best memory graphics solution for console gaming and general use notebook PCs,” said Joo Sun Choi, Executive Vice President of Memory Sales and Marketing of Samsung Electronics, as quoted from Ubergizmo, Friday (16.01.2015).
“By expanding the production of 20nm DRAM-based including GDDR5, we will have an increase in consumer demand globally and led accelerated growth of premium memory market,” he added.
The presence of latest Samsung GDDR5 DRAM will deliver tremendous bandwidth usage which combines eight times more than 8 GB chipset in order to achieve the same density with 8 GB of memory used in the last console.
