Samsung introduced three newest accessories oriented mobile accessibility. Designed specifically for the Galaxy Core Advance series, these accessories are intended to help the visually impaired.
The first is the Ultrasonic Cover. The phone casing utilizes sound waves to detect the presence of people or objects in front of the user.
Ultrasonic cover can detect objects from a distance of two meters. After detection, the cover will notify users that they are approaching an object through vibrate and sound warning.
Other accessories are made for the Galaxy Core Advance Optical Scan Stand. As reported by Tech Radar, Saturday (15/03/2014), this is basically a scanner or scanner device for use at home.
This tool can read any printed material which is directed to the scanner sensor. When the user touches the Optical Scan application in the Galaxy Core, the device will automatically recognize and read the text.
The latter is the Voice Label accessories. With these accessories, the user can identify objects with their cell phone and make a note or give a voice tag labels on the object.
Voice Label work with all NFC tech devices. Its function is to help the blind differentiate their devices and play a recording containing a brief description how to use it.
As already mentioned, the current three new accessories available for the Galaxy Core Advance. Samsung plans to expand access for the visually impaired by providing other accessories for the Galaxy series.
