Hacking action again makes the rest of the United States (US). The hackers managed to steal personal information, including the social security number of millions of job site users in Kansas.
The hacker infiltrated the Job Link Alliance-TS job site (AJLA-TS), which is a division in the Kansas Department of Commerce.
As a result, the hacker managed to gain access to 6.5 million personal information, including the user’s social security number, where 5.5 million user data is spread across 10 US states, such as Idaho, Kansas, and Oklahoma.
Just for information, on the website, the user can enter the CV job application and the site will automatically search for the appropriate job vacancy.
In fact, this infiltration has been smelled since March 12, 2017, and newly verified on March 14, 2017. On March 15, the FBI began to sniff out the action of the hack. Since then, AJLA-TS has asked for help from various third-party forensic analysis companies to investigate it.
The authorities even paid three security companies worth US $235 thousand to fix and improve the security system on the website.
So far, the Department of Commerce in Kansas has sent e-mails to 260 thousand victims of hacking to tell this incident. However, there are hundreds of thousands of other users who are hard to tell because they do not have a clear e-mail address.
