Social network Facebook increasingly seek to provide real support to nonprofit organizations. Technology company headquartered in Menlo Park, California, now provide a special platform for nonprofit organizations in order to get support in the form of funds as well as direct involvement in various activities. Page specifically for the non-profit organization that is Facebook for nonprofits.
“We are inspired by the many people who use Facebook to improve the quality of life of others and help develop communities. Therefore, we are committed to helping others through Facebook,” said a spokesman for the network said.
The new pages provide guidance to nonprofit organizations and individual activists to get ideas to improve social awareness of other people on a problem, create a fundraising campaign, and invite others to participate in an activity.
Groups and individuals are also able to interact with each other to get a successful way to achieve the goal. Some of the buttons on the nonprofit Facebook page included the Donate launched last August.
Now, the button is displayed simultaneously for those who use Facebook to provide charitable assistance. Unfortunately this time the page is only available in English only.
To be able to join on the page, you must have a public page on your group. Anyone can add Donate buttons on their pages. However, Facebook said that fundraising is not related to the name Facebook.
The new page also presents some of the success stories of some of the organizations that have used Facebook as Malala Fund which uses the hashtag #withMalala to get one million signatures on Change.org petition page.
